Classification & Management

Classification is based on analytical thinking & should be an useful tool for libray & information science management. Ofcourse, classification is not merely giving a Class number, but more a process of analysis & synthesis, the purpose being to identify the subject of the document, including electronic documents, or giving a notation for storage & retrieval of the document,etc. In other words, it is a natural process endowed in every human being & is used by him for almost any activity which he performs. So, one can't discard classification as a tool for any form of management.
